POINT OF SALE PREPAID COLLECT (PSPC)

The ICSolutions Point-of-Sale PrePaid Collect (PSPC™) application is a leading edge web-based payment system interfaced to all online and traditional payment processors (credit card, Western Union, MoneyGram, and check-by-phone). The PSPC™ application is utilized in conjunction with conventional collect calling and simply provides the called party with a vehicle to communicate with an incarcerated friend or family member. This application has proven to increase revenue and reduce complaints through the suppression and/or elimination of unbillables and bad debt.

The design and objective of the PSPC™ application is to provide the short-term inmate with direct access to individuals that can help facilitate their release and provide a communications avenue to friends and family of long-term inmates.

The PSPC™ application is activated if the called party account is identified as non-billable, for example, receiving local telephone service (dial tone) from a CLEC that does not support third-party billing. Once activated, the Call Processing system will complete the collect call to the dialed number and following standard call branding and call acceptance procedures, the system will deliver customized voice prompts to the called party advising them that they can establish payment arrangements by pressing ‘8’ on their keypad for seamless connection to the ICSolutions PrePayment Center.
